Katherine Greiner
(She/Her/Hers)
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
I offer skills that help in the short-term and then address behavior patterns that can create positive changes in the longer-term.
I received a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from James Madison University. I worked for many years as an counselor, educator, and program manager at Region Ten Community Services Board, serving adults with serious mental illnesses and addiction. In addition, I have provided individual counseling and co-lead groups on a pro bono basis at The Women's Initiative. I am person-centered in my approach with clients, and often utilize motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness in work with clients.
