I am attentive to the ways cultural and social narratives and systems of power impact people who occupy diverse identities and backgrounds.
Hi, my name is Amy. As a therapist I want to support you in moving towards the life of your dreams, to laugh, experience joy with the people you cherish and weathering or transforming your relationship to the waves and challenges that may be presenting. I meet with adults, children, and families of diverse configurations. Likewise, am experienced working with individuals in the LGBTQ2+, BIPOC community/global majority and Poly Community. I join people to better explore and understand themselves, the larger systems contributing to their experiences, the choices we make, and the relational patterns people slip into which contributes to distress. As a therapist, I specialize in consulting with people who may be struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, mental health concerns prior to and after pregnancy as well as other areas of concern that you would like to explore. I am attentive to the ways cultural and social narratives and systems of power impact people who occupy diverse identities and backgrounds. I recognize the ingenuity and courage people employ to navigate the world. Additionally, I also attend to the intersections of oppression that impact people. I'm trained by Humanitarian Assistance Program (EMDRIA Approved) and am able to provide EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to adults and children as an isolated treatment, or as part of a longer therapeutic relationship. Additionally, I have specialized training in Internal Family Sy
